A unique farmstay in South Tyrol

Between Heaven and Earth

The Obersteiner farm lies at an altitute of 1.440 m above sea level on the edge of the Rieserferner-Ahrn natural park in the southtyrolean Ahrntal Valley, high above the village of Luttach / Lutago. Its origins date back to the 11th century. Today the farm is organically run by farmer Franz and his partner Barbara.

What makes us special

The view

"Schauinstal" means "look down into the valley", and that's where our name comes from. To our left, the Dolomites, to our right and in front of us the 3000 m high peaks of the Zillertaler Alpenhauptkamm. Look down into the valley from 1.440 m above sea level. You will never get enough of these views.

Apartments & Cottages

You can choose between a comfortable, rustic apartment in the historic main building of the farm or a spacious, detached cottage with more privacy and an extensive sun deck. All the apartments have unique furniture and are decorated with artworks and crafts from farmer Franz.

Nature & Surroundings

The Obersteinerhof is surrounded by wild nature. Woods, mountains and lakes are within walking distance. On and around the farm there is a lot to experience. Peace and quiet is also part of it.
